Something I’ve found I enjoy quite a bit is 3D sculpting. For my first real project with Zbrush, I decided to be a bit ambitious and fully sculpt one of my original characters in a suit of armor. I spent quite a bit of time ;getting every element to line up just how I wanted it. In the end it was a very rewarding experience.
Here’s an illustration I did of Mollymauk Tealeaf from Critical Role!
Here’s some fanart I did for Caduces Clay from Critical Role!
Catsmith is my 3rd go at the Global Game Jam! You play as Leo, a black cat blacksmith, as he attempts to make enough money to buy his husband an anniversary gift. Throughout the game, you are visited by a variety of customers looking to get their weapons repaired. Your job is to repair their tools in this simple point and click game
Unlike most of my projects where I worked as an artist, here I took the hat of the programmer! It was a very exciting learning experience! I loved working with my friends Megan, Allison, and Laura on this project.

Battle Cart is and remains one of my personal favorite illustrations I’ve ever made. This piece was my final for Advanced Character design, in which I was required to use characters, creatures, vehicles, and weapons to create a cohesive illustration. As someone who loves fantasy, I decided to go for a dragon chase scene with our heroes doing their best to escape while on their ready-for-battle cart! The project took a total of 50+ hours spread over a month to complete. I loved working on every little detail; from the wood grain on the cart to the scales on the dragon. I learned a lot about digital painting and creating finalized pieces through this memorable project.
I was given the opportunity to intern at Graphite Lab over the summer of 2018. I got to help create the final character models and animations, as well as the credits, main menu, and character select screens. I also got the opportunity to work with another artist on this game, Chloe Schwarzen, who created the detailed game play background art, made the in-game props, and helped design characters. Find the game on itch.io!
Premonition is a game concept that I’ve developed over the past four months. The game is an RPG focused around Elaine, a widowed mother of two. Elaine learns that her children are part of a grand prophecy to defeat an evil vampire. Not wanting her children to face such danger, Elaine takes on the prophecy herself, exploring the country of Trenhel, making allies, and defeating monsters.
For this project, I’ve spent my time working on the narrative. This includes a GDD, short stories, quest documents, and cinematic scripts. All of these can be found here.
This was my final long-form illustration of 2019! I treated this artwork as a chance to experiment more with digital painting. Two years ago I created an unused mockup sketch of a few adventurers entering a small magic shop. In need of a new project, I decided to return to it and make a full-fledged illustration.
I ended up finishing this piece over the course of two weeks. I started in grayscale to help figure out my lighting. After I applied the initial colors, I decided to try more traditional techniques for my digital painting. I merged all the existing layers I had and finished off the painting using simulated oil paint brushes. I loved playing with the difference between perceived color and actual color in this piece.
My final for advanced animation. A more comedic take on “the princess and the frog”, this animation stars two of my characters Drais and Yasu. I created my own original song for this project.
IN 2019 I needed a new illustration for my business card— this is the final result! I wanted something that captured my energy— something cute, fun, and fantastical. After several self-portraits, drafts, and doodles, I decided upon an illustration of two kids exploring a dark wood. I used lots of dreamy hues of pink, purple, and blue to give a friendly magical feel to the whole piece, with a few pops of yellow for contrast. This was my first piece using ClipStudio Paint, and I think its partially to blame with me falling in love with the program. I’m incredibly pleased with how Lantern came out!
Recently I was commissioned to do a fan poster of Florence Welsh. After a few mock-ups and edits, I ended up with this final piece .
I was also commissioned to digitally paint a D&D character alongside their patron God. Outside of a few details, such as the desired style, color pallet, and base physical traits, I was given complete creative freedom.
Throughout the project I worked together with my client to make sure they liked the pose, character designs, and detail work added to the image. The end result was a poster-sized work of art.
